Lettuce Mixed Leaf Mesclun Mix

Lettuce Mixed Leaf Mesclun Mix is a colourful salad seed blend designed for fresh, flavourful baby leaves. This mix produces a variety of textures, colours, and tastes, making it ideal for homegrown salads, garnish, sandwiches, and fresh kitchen use.

The blend includes green and red cutting lettuce, rocket, tatsoi, mizuna, Red Giant mustard, and Red Russian kale. It gives a more interesting alternative to plain lettuce, with mild, peppery, and leafy flavours in one easy-to-grow mix.

Mesclun is best grown as a cut-and-come-again crop. Harvest young leaves when they reach around 4–6 inches high, cutting above the soil so many plants can regrow for another harvest.

Growing Information

• Sow directly outdoors when the soil can be worked
• Sow thinly at approx. 1/8 inch deep
• Can also be started indoors 2–3 weeks before the last frost
• Thin or transplant seedlings when 1–2 inches tall
• Space plants around 10–12 inches apart if growing larger leaves
• Harvest when leaves reach 4–6 inches high
• Cut about 1 inch above the soil line
• Sow every 2–3 weeks for a steady supply
• Keep soil moist, especially during germination and dry weather
• Can also be sown in autumn for a late harvest
