Growing Information

• For best germination, cold-treat the sealed seed packet in the freezer for 2–4 weeks
• Let seeds warm up slowly before sowing
• Sow from late February onwards
• Sow in seed trays or pots
• Cover seeds only very lightly
• Keep compost moist
• Keep in a semi-shaded position during germination
• Ideal germination temperature: 65°F / approx. 18°C
• Thin seedlings once they develop their second set of true leaves
• Leave around 3–4 inches between young plants, or pot them individually
